Celebrate Imbolc (The Celtic Festival of Light) with this unique healing event)

Saturday, February 1 - 1-4pm GMT

About this event

  • The event lasts 3 hours

February 1st is Imbolc: the Celtic Festival of Light.

The word Imbolc means “in the belly.” The festival marks the transition from the deepest part of winter to the first light of spring. It honours the quiet stirrings of new life and the profound changes that take place in the darkness. This is a moment to embrace the darkness that shapes us and the light that guides us forward.

Imbolc carries the vibration of the Celtic goddess Brigid - the archetype of healing, creativity and fertility. The energies of this astrological event are ideal for going inward and focusing on what you want to release, heal and call in.

In this special ceremony, we'll align with the energy of Imbolc, and use the medicines of Rose and Sound to bring you into a space of healing and transformation.

Rose is the great love healer. It has the power to heal broken hearts, to open us up to new possibilities, to reconnect us with our sensuality and sexuality, and to awaken us to the fullest, highest potential of love.

The sound bath is a deeply immersive experience, where you'll journey on the waves of voice, gongs and singing bowls. The vibrations gently clear stagnant energy, unblock emotional pathways, and allow the heart and spirit to fully receive the healing medicine of the Rose.

Join us in a private temple in West Hampstead, as we go deep into the belly, nurture the darkness, activate your spark of light, and gently ease you into the next cycle of your year, with Love.

THINGS TO NOTE

  • An empty stomach is best when working with plant medicines. It heightens your sensitivity and aids your connection. We encourage fasting at least 3 hours prior to the ceremony (from 10am) but longer, if you can.
  • The same goes for coffee or any caffeinated beverage - ideally, skip it that day. If skipping it is likely to give you a withdrawal headache, however, then just stick to one small cup and again, drink it before 10am.
  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before and after the ceremony.
  • We'll be lying down, so please wear comfortable clothing, warm socks, and layers in case you get hot/cold. Ideally, bring a blanket and, if you're light-sensitive, an eye mask.
  • Bring a reusable water bottle.
  • We'll provide some snacks for after the ceremony, but feel free to bring your own - ideally, something that can be shared with others.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

  • Rose is not suitable for use within the first 4 months of pregnancy.
  • While rare, rose teas or extracts could theoretically interact with medications, particularly those affecting hormone regulation or blood thinning. Consult with a healthcare provider if you're taking any medications.
  • It's possible to have a rose allergy. If you've never used any rose products before (for example essential oil, tea, rose water), then please test several products before booking, to check that you're not allergic.
